  1. The Company was incorporated in 1968 as General Scanning, Inc. In 1999, General Scanning, Inc. merged with Lumonics Inc. and became GSI Lumonics, Inc. In 2005, the company changed its name to GSI Group, Inc. In 2016, the company changed its name to Novanta Inc.

  3. No. Novanta does not have a direct stock purchase or sales program.

  4. No. Novanta has no Dividend Reinvestment Program.

  5. A release date for quarterly financial results is announced via news release and posted on the Novanta web site approximately two weeks in advance.

    The earnings releases are published through PR Newswire and posted on the Investor Relations page of the Novanta website on the day on which the earnings releases are issued. Hardcopies of the earnings releases and the related quarterly and annual reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission are available to shareholders upon written request.

  6. Yes, the Novanta Annual Report will be sent with our annual proxy statement to all shareholders of record and beneficial shareholders. Our annual reports will also be posted on the Investor Relations page of the Novanta website in early April.

  7. Novanta traditionally holds its annual meeting each year in May. Confirmation of the specific place, time and date will be included in the proxy materials that will be mailed to all shareholders in April. The proxy materials will also be posted on the Novanta web site at the same time.

  8. Anyone who holds shares of Novanta stock is eligible to attend Novanta's Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Please bring proof of ownership as of the record date to the meeting.

  9. A notice of annual meeting of Shareholders, proxy statement and proxy card are mailed in one envelope to Novanta shareholders approximately four or five weeks prior to the Company's annual meeting.
